Sinus lift
CUSTOMIZED TREATMENTS
The maxillary sinus lift is a surgical technique of bone grafting that is done in order to perform an implant-supported prosthetic rehabilitation. It involves a vertical increase of the available bone in the upper posterior area of the mouth. It is necessary to elevate the floor of the maxillary sinus when it is not possible to place dental implants in a conventional way in that area and it is necessary to increase the amount of bone before or simultaneously with the placement of implants.

When a tooth is lost, the bone that supported it begins to decrease in volume over time. In the posterior maxilla, tooth loss also causes enlargement of the maxillary sinuses, which further decreases the amount of available bone. If a patient wishes to have a dental implant placed in this area and does not have sufficient bone, an effective and predictable solution is to perform a sinus lift.
This procedure increases the amount of bone in the sinus cavity, providing the jawbone with the necessary support for the dental implants to be durable and effective.
Thanks to sinus lift, patients at our clinic can replace bone loss in this area and safely opt for dental implants.
