Periodontitis

CUSTOMIZED TREATMENTS

Bleeding gums are caused by gingivitis, an inflammation of the gums, which is generally associated with the presence of dental bacterial plaque and presents as red, edematous gums that bleed easily.

Gingivitis not properly treated by a dentist will lead to periodontitis, which affects the supporting tissues of the teeth causing tooth mobility.

The treatment of this disease is performed by scaling and root planing, which consists of removing tartar (calculus) and bacterial plaque from the surface of the teeth and below the gum line.
